The Rubenstein Company, L.P. provides full accounting, bookkeeping and reporting for all of its properties. With its in-house computer programming capability, the Company is able to create and maintain a customized reporting system designed to optimally support each given property's unique reporting requirements. The Company reports on the financial condition of each property on a monthly basis using state of the art accounting software, while outside accountants are retained to produce annual audited statements.
Included within the department is a Property Accountant Group. Each participant in this group has individual responsibility for specific properties and reports to the Director of Property Accounting, the Controller and the portfolio manager associated with the specific asset.
Accounting also includes separate receivable and payable areas. Special coordination between the receivables department and the local on-site management teams keeps aging receivables to an absolute minimum, while at the same time preserving strong relations with tenants.
